Union of Palestinian Women’s Committees (UPWC) is a feminist movement fighting for a society free from all discrimination and for Palestine to be free from Israel’s occupation and oppression. With heart to the left, UPWC is working to strenthen and unite women. Their work has lead to more and more women claiming space in the Palestinian society.
If you ask UPWC why they organise women, their answer is:
”The fight against occupation cannot be effetive if half the population is excluded.”
