Asylum rights and anti-racism

We define racism as an unequal distribution of power and resources that is one of the cornerstones of global capitalism.

When it comes to asylum rights our position is that we want a world without borders. This means that in a world with borders we defend the right of all humans to seek asylum and be granted such if facing serious threats to life or freedom.

For many years Björkåfrihet has supported the asylum rights movement in Sweden, mainly through humanitarian support to undocumented refugees. We have also been a strong advocate for free movement, asylum rights and anti-racism. In the near future we hope to strengthen the work in Sweden for anti-racism and the rights of migrants and refugees.
