Equipe Media is a media activist network in the occupied part of Western Sahara. They document and spread information about human rights violations in occupied territory through social media and contacts with politicians, lawyers, researchers and journalists. Since it is difficult for foreign observers and journalists to travel into the occupied Western Sahara and there is a media blockade from the Moroccan side, Equipe Media plays an important role in spreading knowledge about the conditions in the area and thereby creating public opinion against the occupation.
Their documentary 3 stolen cameras from 2020 won several prizes around the world and they are currently working on a new documentary telling the story of three generations of women struggling for human rights.
The film is a co-production with the Swedish film collective RåFILM and Björkåfrihet has facilitated the making of the film.
